I'm so excited!
LAURITA: Well, there are a lot of buildings on this property.
And that first big building... LAUREN: Mm-hmm.
LAURITA: That you see right over there?
LAUREN: Yeah?
LAURITA: To the right.
That's the Chateau, and that's where we stayed... LAUREN: Yeah, I remember.
LAURITA: About 15 years ago.
Well, we're not staying there.
We're actually staying at one of the buildings called Falling Rock.
And you think the Chateau was lovely?
Prepare to be amazed.
TREY: The easiest way to explain Nemacolin both past, present and future is that the resort is a collection of collections.
And that really goes back to 1987 when the Hardy's first bought the property, a tiny little hunting lodge about 35 rooms, give or take.
And now if you look at the property, we now spread over 2,300 acres throughout the Laurel Highlands.
And Mr. Hardy had this vision of opening up a luxury resort to the everyman.
I think the exciting thing about Nemacolin is that we're constantly changing.
And we get our best input through the guests that come to the resort.
LAURITA: And now, we're turning into Falling Rock.
What do you think?
LAUREN: Ooh.
It is, uh, beautiful.
LAURITA: It looks huge, doesn't it?
LAUREN: I know.
Wow.
Oh.
TYLER: Hello, ladies.
Welcome to Falling Rock.
LAUREN: Hi.
LAURITA: Thank you.
LAUREN: Thank you.
All of these stones right here are giving me a Frank Lloyd Wright vibe.
TYLER: Actually, this whole building was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright's student.
LAUREN: Ah.
LAURITA: Oh.
VICTOR: Would you like a glass of sparkling wine?
LAUREN: We surely would.
LAURITA: We would be happy to take that.
VICTOR: There you go.
LAUREN: Thank you.
LAURITA: Thank you.
VICTOR: Cheers.
LAUREN: Cheers.
VICTOR: Enjoy.
LAUREN: Wow.
LAURITA: It's beautiful.
CELENA: Miss Lauren, Miss Laurita, after you.
LAURITA: Oh.
LAUREN: Oh my goodness.
Now, this is super fancy.
LAURITA: This is amazing.
(gasps) CELENA: Here at Falling Rock, we have 24-hour butler services.
We have over eight different pillows to choose from and eight different baths to choose from as well.
LAURITA: This is amazing.
LAUREN: Wow.
Oh my goodness.
LAURITA: I still can't get over the part where they say that they will run your bath for you.
LAUREN: Oh my gosh.
LAURITA: Okay, I've gotta put this down just for a second.
(laughter).
KORY: Falling Rock, it's a 42-room boutique hotel in southwestern Pennsylvania.
This hotel was designed by David Merritt.
David Merritt had studied at Taliesin.
He grew up a huge fan of Frank Lloyd Wright, and I think that the architect did a great job in creating an environment which it feels authentic and real.
It uses the principles within organic architecture.
It's about blending nature so you're inside or you're outside.
When you walk through the entryway, you have the waterfalls on the left and right.
So from that point, it really evolved into an homage to Frank Lloyd Wright in many respects in that we're able to capture the beauty of the Laurel Highlands.
This is not only a hotel.
It's actually a piece of art.
David Merritt wanted Falling Rock to be a place that you felt like you were coming home.
It's as though you were in someone's living room.
It's a very intimate experience.
It gives you that feeling of just release.
The building does a lot of the magic 'cause it really allows us just to focus on the service and the experience of the guest.
Life is about experiences.
And here at Nemacolin, you can experience so many different things.
You may come out for a few days.
You may come out for a week.
You're still not gonna be able to get everything in.
STEPHANIE: This is... LAUREN: Hi.
STEPHANIE: Flip Flop.
LAURITA: Hi, Flip Flop.
LAUREN: Flip Flop!
LAURITA: Can we pet Flip Flop?
STEPHANIE: Yes.
LAURITA: Wow.
LAUREN: Hi.
LAURITA: So soft.
LAUREN: What type of animal is he?
STEPHANIE: Flip Flop is an Icelandic sheep.
LAUREN: Ready?
LAURITA: One, two... LAUREN: You're, mom, you're cutting your head... LAURITA: Well, you do it.
LAUREN: Lemme do it, lemme do it.
LAURITA: This is one our family pastimes.
LAUREN: Yeah.
But you know you're goin' down, girl.
LAURITA: Oh, no.
You're goin' down.
LAUREN: It's on and poppin'.
LAURITA: Nope, nope.
You're goin' down.
LAUREN: If you get a hole in one, I swear.
(laughs) LAURITA: Yes!
LAUREN: That's a hard act... LAURITA: Still got it.
LAUREN: Hard act to follow.
LAURITA: Still got it.
After you.
So we're kinda ending the day.
LAUREN: Mm-hmm.
LAURITA: We can't wait to see what's in store for us tomorrow.
